Members and partners of the Mayors’ Club attended a four-day high-level international conference in Vilnius dedicated to the green recovery of Ukraine

The event, organized by the European Commission, aimed to assess future challenges and engage in discussions with Ukrainian policymakers, mayors, and business representatives on strategies and concrete solutions at the core of Ukraine’s green reconstruction and recovery. It took place from November 28 to December 1.

The goal of the conference was to offer key stakeholders a comprehensive approach to the green recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.

The four-day conference, attended by the President of Lithuania, was filled with in-depth discussions about the recovery of Ukrainian cities. The agenda went beyond simple restoration — participants advocated for a green transformation.

We all envision a future in which Ukraine enjoys sustainable prosperity, greater resource self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life — a future deeply aligned with the goals and aspirations of the European Union.

The European Commission’s commitment to Ukraine is unwavering and absolute. The unity and support shown by Europeans from across the continent is not only reassuring — it is deeply moving.

Several members of the Mayors’ Club attended the event. The Mayor of Chuhuiv, Halyna Minaieva, in addition to delivering a compelling speech, met with Svitlana Tezyk, a representative of our strategic partners, the Alliance of European Mayors.
