The Mayors’ Club and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

On November 6, Oleksandr Mazurchak, First Vice President of the Club of Mayors of Ukraine, and Vasyl Lazoryshynets, President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The purpose of this document is to strengthen partnership between the medical scientific community and local self-government bodies in order to implement innovations in the healthcare sector and improve the level of social support for citizens.

The Memorandum clearly defines the following future areas of cooperation:

• creation of effective patient pathways for treatment in the clinics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine;
• development of rehabilitation programs and preventive measures;
• implementation of scientific, educational, and social initiatives;
• conducting research and activities aimed at preserving public health.

Special attention was given to the issue of providing assistance to veterans, military personnel, individuals affected by the war, and their family members.

We are confident that this partnership will help ensure high-quality medical care for every Ukrainian, improve the nation’s health, and contribute to more effective implementation of state-targeted programs.
