Rostyslav Bortnyk

In 2016, Rostyslav Bortnyk, together with the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial,” presented the art project “163. Art for Memory”. In March 2017, the installation was exhibited by the Art Gallery of the Ternopil Union of Artists. The second part of the project “163” envisages the creation of a “Living Memorial” in every Ukrainian town in memory of every Ukrainian killed during the Holodomor-Genocide of 1932-1933. On April 19, 2018, one of the flowerbeds on Rynok Square in Berezhany was sown with wheat. The action is the implementation of the second part of the “163” project, which was created by Rostyslav. On July 17, 2019, he organized a #JusticeMH17 rally in Vienna, Austria, near the OSCE office. Since October 25, 2020, he has been the head of the Berezhany City Community.
