Oleksandr Lysenko

Mayor of Sumy in 2014-2024, member of the Sumy City Council of the 6th convocation. In 2020, Lysenko was re-elected as mayor of Sumy from the Batkivshchyna party. In the second round, he defeated Vadym Akperov, a candidate from the European Solidarity party. In 2019, the NACP again accused and drew up 4 protocols against Lysenko for issuing bonuses to himself in the amount of 65% to 270% of his salary. Lysenko regularly gave bonuses to employees of the executive committee of the city council, including himself, and did not inform the NACP of a conflict of interest. In 2015, in the 2nd round of the regular elections, he was re-elected as mayor of Sumy from the Batkivshchyna party, defeating Anatoliy Yepifanov, who ran from the Will of the People party. In total, 49.75 thousand voters (69.93%) voted for Lysenko. In 2014, he was elected mayor of Sumy in an early election from the Batkivshchyna party. On the eve of the 2014 elections, he was elected Secretary of the Sumy City Council and Acting Mayor. In 2012-2020, he was the chairman of the Sumy regional party organization of the Batkivshchyna party. In 2012-2014, he was an assistant to Oleksandr Turchynov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation, who was elected from the Batkivshchyna party at that time. From 2010 to 2012, he was the chairman of the Sumy city party organization of Batkivshchyna.
