On March 26, 2006, Ihor Sapozhko was elected to the Brovary City Council in the local elections on the list of the Batkivshchyna party. On May 17, 2006, he became the Secretary of the City Council. On July 24, 2008, he became the acting chairman of the Brovary City Council. In 2010, Ihor Sapozhko joined the Party of Regions. In the local elections on October 31, 2010, he ran for the mayor of Brovary from the Party of Regions. On November 2, 2010, he was proclaimed the winner of the election. In 2012 and 2013, Ihor Sapozhko was nominated for the Ukrainian Man of the Year award in the Mayor of the Year category. On February 20, 2014, during the Euromaidan events in Ukraine, Ihor Sapozhko announced his resignation from the Party of Regions and the termination of the party’s faction in the Brovary City Council. On September 27, 2015, as a non-partisan candidate, Ihor Sapozhko ran for the mayor of Brovary in the 2015 local elections as a self-nominated candidate. However, according to the election campaign materials, Ihor Sapozhko and the Ukrainian party “Unity” (headed by Oleksandr Omelchenko) ran as a joint team. On October 29, Ihor Sapozhko was re-elected mayor of Brovary. On January 17, 2021, in the re-election in Brovary, he was elected chairman of the council of the Brovary UTC, where he was nominated by his own party, the Ihor Sapozhko Team “Unity”.

In 2015-2018, he was a leading turbine control engineer at the nuclear power plant of the control room of the 3rd operational unit of Zaporizhzhya NPP. In 2018-2020, he was a leading engineer for equipment acquisition of the general shop personnel of the operating unit of Zaporizhzhya NPP. From 2008 to 2020, he was the Chairman of the first in Enerhodar Apartment Building Co-Owners Association “Kurchatova-14”. Until October 2020, he was the chairman of the ZNPP Youth Organization and the chairman of the Brama NGO.

Mayor of Bila Tserkva from the Samopomich party since November 2015. In 2010, he was elected to the Bila Tserkva City Council of the VI convocation. In 2014, he founded the Bilotserkivets Charitable Foundation. In October 2020, he was elected chairman of the Bila Tserkva City Council from the For the Future party.

Kalynivka village head since 2015. He was re-elected in 2020. From 1994 to 1995, he worked as a veterinarian at the Velykodymerskyi State Farm in Velyka Dymerka, Brovary district, Kyiv region. In 1995-1998, he worked at the OJSC “Greenhouse Plant” in the village of Kalynivka. Since 1994 he has been an individual entrepreneur. From 2010 to 2015, he was a deputy of the Kalynivka village council of the VI convocation of Brovary district, Kyiv region.

Mayor of Vyshhorod from the party “For the Future” since 2015, co-founder of the city public organization “Ridne Misto”. He was re-elected in 2020. In 2005, he became the head of the Vyshhorod Forum public organization. In November 2010, he became a deputy of the Vyshgorod City Council of the Kyiv region of the VI convocation from the People’s Party. In October 2015, he was elected as the head of the Vyshgorod City Council from the Volia party. In October 2020, he was elected chairman of the Vyshgorod party organization “For the Future”.

Mayor of Irpin. (2010) Worked as a director of the private enterprise “Paliy.” (2012) Deputy Director of the municipal enterprise Irpinvodokanal. Since 2016, he has been the head of the municipal enterprise “Irpinvodokanal”. In the local elections of 2010, he was elected as a deputy of the Irpin City Council of the VI convocation from the UDAR political party. In the local elections of 2015, he was re-elected as a deputy of the Irpin City Council of the VII convocation from the New Faces political party. In August 2018, he was appointed the First Deputy Mayor of Irpin. In 2020, he was elected Mayor of Irpin.

Mayor of Kremenchuk. In 2005, he became the head of the City Center for Social Services at the Kremenchuk City Council. A year later, he participated in the parliamentary elections as a member of the “Ukrainians Together” party. In 2010, he won the elections to the district council. For five years, he worked as the chairman of the permanent deputy commission. At the same time, he became the deputy mayor of Kremenchuk, Oleh Babayev, and was in charge of humanitarian issues. In November 2015, he was elected mayor of Kremenchuk. He participated in the 2020 local elections from the “ZA MAIBUTNIE” political force.

(2004) Chairman of the Balta “Rayagropromenergo” association. (2010) Serhii Mazur was elected mayor of Balta. He was re-elected in 2015 as the head of the Balta united territorial community. At that time, Mayor Mazur was the youngest mayor in Ukraine.
