Yuriy Bova

Mayor of Trostyanets (since 2005), since March 2000 - founder, chairman, and honorary president (since 2005) of the non-governmental organization called "Union of Entrepreneurs of Trostyanets Region." He is the founder of the Trostyanets District Charitable Foundation which is called "Dobrota" and even vice president (since 2016) of the "Mayor's Club." In February 2019, he was elected as the president of an organization which is called "The Association of Open Cities." In addition, he is also the president of the Athletics Federation of the Sumy Region and a member of the Board of the Association "Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine."

Graduated from Kharkiv State Automobile and Road Technical University (1994, now National University, specialty – road and airfield construction engineer).

Career

He worked as the founder and director of a private small business called “Mercury” (1993-2005); deputy of the Trostyanets district council (1998, 2002); member of the Commission on Budgeting, Finance and Planning of Socio-Economic Development; deputy chairman of the temporary commission for quality control of contractor works; secretary (2005) and mayor (2005, 2006, 2010, 2015, 2017, 2020) of the Trostyanets City Council. Head of projects such as “Improving the sanitary and environmental condition of Trostyanets by involving the public in centralized solid waste collection” and “Implementation of energy-saving measures in common areas of the housing stock of Trostyanets”, supported by the Eurasia Project (2007). Since March 2000, he has been the founder, chairman, and honorary president (since 2005) of the Trostyanets Entrepreneurs Union, vice president (since 2016) of the “Mayor’s Club”, president (since 2019) of the Association of Open Cities, president of the Sumy Oblast Athletics Federation, and even member of the Board of the Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine Association.

Mayor Yuriy Bova Speaks at International Forum "ReBuild Ukraine" in Warsaw

Mayor Yuriy Bova was among the speakers at the international forum "ReBuild Ukraine" in Warsaw, where he discussed the topic of rebuilding Ukrainian communities. The forum aimed to find partners and support for specific projects in cities like Irpin, Bucha, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Trostianets. Bova and other representatives from over 20 Ukrainian cities met with stakeholders, including embassies, international funds, and companies to discuss strategies for rebuilding their communities. The event was seen as a great platform for rebuilding Ukraine and developing partnerships with international organizations.

Trostianets Community Approves Project for Sustainable Economic Development

Trostianets City Council and the NGO "ANTS" National Interest Protection Network "ANTS" have developed and approved a project called "Concept of Reconstruction and Sustainable Economic Development of the Trostianets City Territorial Community". The project aims to restore what was lost due to the war and accelerate further development. The concept will help raise funds for various international programs, with the main goal of interesting international donors in investing resources in the reconstruction and development of the Trostianets community. The master plan for Trostianets is being created by IC consulenten Ukraine together with Austrian partners CES Clean Energy Solutions.

Poland aids Trostyanets: New Buses for Public Transportation

New buses which were donated by Poland arrived in Trostyanets by train. They are ready to go on their retrospective routes. We are very grateful to our Polish friends for this gift, which will help us provide comfortable and efficient public transportation for our residents.

TROSTYANETS COMMUNITY DONATED A CAR FOR THE NEEDS OF THE UKRANIAN ARMED FORCES!

In a show of support for the Ukrainian soldiers defending their land against Russian military aggression, the Trostyanets community has donated a Mercedes Sprinter ambulance to one of the military units. The vehicle can be used for both evacuation and on-site medical care, making it suitable for military needs. The initiative was submitted by the mayor and supported by the deputies of the Trostyanets City Council. This is not the first time the community has provided such assistance and they plan to continue helping in any way they can. Together, they believe they will win the war.

Trostyanets Community Donates Another Vehicle for the Needs of the Ukranian Armed Forces

The Trostyanets City Council has donated a modern ambulance from its municipal property to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is not the first time that the community has supported the military, and they plan to continue helping as much as possible. The initiative to transfer the vehicle was supported by the deputies of the Trostyanets City Council, and Mayor Yuriy Bova expressed his appreciation for the military and their service to the country. The donation is seen as a contribution to the defense of the country and the ongoing effort to bring victory to Ukraine.
