Mayor of Sarny since December 2020, member of the Sarny District Council (V, VI, VII convocations). From November 2010 to May 2014 – Deputy Mayor of Sarny. From May 2014 to November 2015 – Deputy Head of Sarny District State Administration of Rivne Region. From November 2015 to November 2020 – Chairman of the Sarny District Council of the Rivne Region.

Mayor of Svitlovodsk from the Servant of the People party since 2020.

Mayor of Bolekhiv since 2020. He heads the session of the city council, the executive committee of the city council, the board of trustees, the commission on the repayment of wage arrears (cash benefits), pensions, scholarships and other social benefits, the commission on the legalization of wages and employment, the commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies, and is the head of civil defense.

Mayor of Shostka since 2001. He was re-elected in 2006, 2010, 2015 and 2020. From July 1987 to September 1998, he worked as the first deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Konotop City Council. In September 1998, he was appointed head of the Krolevets District State Administration.

Uzhhorod mayor from the party “Vidrodzhennya” since November 2015. In 2010, he was elected as a deputy of Uzhhorod City Council from the Party of Regions. In 2014-2015, he was the Secretary of the City Council and the Acting Mayor of Uzhhorod. In 2017, he was included in the Top 20 Innovative Mayors according to the Ukrainian Pravda and the International Mayors Summit. In 2020, he was re-elected as the mayor of Uzhhorod.

Mayor of Sloviansk from the Opposition Bloc party since 2015. In the 2010 local elections, he was elected as a deputy of the Sloviansk City Council from the Party of Regions. Head of the Sloviansk City Military-Civilian Administration (August 4, 2021 – March 30, 2022). Head of the Slavic Military Administration (since March 30, 2022).

Mayor of Ternopil since November 2010. He was re-elected in 2015 and 2020. Member of the board of the political party Svoboda. Chairman of the Ternopil city organization of Svoboda. On March 15, 2009, he was elected a deputy of the Ternopil Regional Council (Svoboda faction). From 2011 to 2019, according to a study by the NGO “Educational and Analytical Center for Community Development” based on the data of the analytical portal “Slovo i Dilo”, he was recognized as the most responsible mayor of Ukraine.

Former mayor of Zhytomyr. In 2006, he was elected to the Zhytomyr City Council on the list of the Our Ukraine party. From 2010 to 2014, he was a deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council from the Front for Change party. In March 2014 – November 2015 – 1st Deputy Mayor of Zhytomyr on the activities of executive bodies of councils. In November 2015, he was appointed to the position of Zhytomyr Mayor. He was re-elected in 2020. In September 2024, he resigned from his post as Mayor of Zhytomyr ahead of schedule.

Mayor of Khmelnytskyi. In 2009 he joined the ranks of the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda”. On October 31, 2010, he was elected a deputy of the Khmelnytsky City Council (faction of Svoboda). From April 25, 2014 to July 2015 – Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration – First Deputy Head. From September 25, 2014 to March 6, 2015 – Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration – Acting Head. He was elected Mayor of Khmelnytskyi in November 2015 and re-elected for a second term in 2020.

Kharkiv Mayor since 2021. In April 2010, he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv. Since September 2015, he has held the position of First Deputy Mayor. In addition, from 2015 to November 11, 2021, he was a deputy of the Kharkiv City Council. In 2020, he became the chairman of the Kernes Bloc – Successful Kharkiv party faction. From December 9, 2020, to November 11, 2021, he was the Secretary of the Kharkiv City Council, acting mayor of Kharkiv from December 17, 2020, after the death of Hennadiy Kernes, until November 11, 2021.

Mayor of the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. In 1990, he was elected chairman of the Artemivsk City Council of People’s Deputies. After that, he was elected mayor of Bakhmut in 1991, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2020. In 1990 and 1994, he was elected to the Donetsk Regional Council.

Mayor of Brody, Brody district, Lviv region, since 2010. He was re-elected in 2015 and 2020. Since 2010, he has headed the Brody inter-district branch of the All-Ukrainian Special Board for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime.

Mayor of Burshtyn from the European Solidarity party since November 2020.
