Former mayor of Khust (2010-2024). He began his career immediately after graduation. He was an inspector of pensions and benefits at the Khust District Social Security Department. From 1980 to 1984, he held the position of legal adviser to the Khust District Executive Committee. After that, he worked for a long time in the Khust City Council of People’s Deputies, first as the secretary of the executive committee for six years, and then as its chairman for four more. In 1994-1995, Volodymyr Pavlovych held the position of a specialist in the Economics Department of the Khust District Council of People’s Deputies. The following year he was appointed the head of the secretariat, and a few months later – the deputy head of the Khust District State Administration. In the period from 1999 to 2005, V. Kashchuk was the first deputy head of the Khust District State Administration. In 2006-2007, Volodymyr Kashchuk headed the Khust United State Tax Inspectorate. Then he became the head of Khust District State Administration. In 2010, he was elected to the post of Khust Mayor.

Mayor of Pokrovsk from the Party of Regions since 2020, head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration of the Pokrovsk District, Donetsk Region. In 2009-2010, he was the head of Spartakivka village council.  From 2015 to 2016, he was the head of the Yasynuvata District State Administration. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Pokrovsk District Council.

Lutsk mayor from the party “For the Future” since November 2020, deputy of the Lutsk City Council of the VI and VII convocations. In 2010 – 2012 – assistant lawyer. From 2012 to 2013 – legal adviser of the charitable foundation “Igor Palytsia Foundation ‘New Lutsk’. In 2013 – 2016 – Chief Legal Counsel of the charitable foundation “Igor Palytsia Foundation ‘New Lutsk’. From 2016 to 2017 – Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Igor Palytsia Foundation “Only Together”. In 2017 – Secretary of Lutsk City Council, acting mayor. In 2017-2020 – Advisor to the Mayor of Lutsk.

Kherson mayor from the party “We live here” since November 2020. He is the head of Prodexim Trading House LLC. From 2013 to August 2019, he was the director of Ukrainian Food Corporation LLC. Since August 29, 2019, he has been a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX convocation. In the parliament, he became a member of the For the Future party faction. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations. He is the owner of the Igor Kolikhayev Party “We Live Here”, which he acquired in 2020. He owns the NGO “Prodexim (Kherson) Futsal Club”.

Mayor of Odesa since 2014. He was re-elected in 2015 and 2020. In 1993, he became the director of the security company “Captain”. In 1995, he became President of the Ukrainian National Thai Boxing Federation. From 2004 to 2007, he worked in the staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In April 2005, he was elected a deputy of the Odesa City Council. In 2006, he was re-elected as a deputy of the Odesa City Council. He headed the Standing Committee on Youth and Sports of the Odesa City Council. In August 2008, he was appointed Regional Representative of the State Committee of Ukraine for Veterans Affairs in Odesa region. In 2010, he was re-elected as a deputy of the Odesa City Council. He headed the Party of Regions faction of the Odesa City Council. In the parliamentary elections of 2012, he was elected as a Member of Parliament of Ukraine from the Party of Regions in the single-member majoritarian constituency № 136.
